Coatesville Middle Schools hit the streets- with ice cream!

On August 18th the Coatesville Middle School administration team embarked on an adventure to connect with our community.  Starting at 5:30pm Wednesday night, dressed in Coatesville pride shirts and hats, we set out with an ice cream van loaded with t-shirt give aways, parent surveys, important school information, and of course ICE CREAM.  The night was a huge success and I would like to thank all of the kids and parents who came out to greet us.  It was amazing and heart warming to hear our children yelling "COATESVILLE PRIDE" as we spoke with community members and gave out ice cream. We gave away over 2000 ice cream pops and over 300 Coatesville Pride t-shirts.  I hope everyone we saw enjoyed the event as much as we did.  Look for us in the future for more events like this and remember keep up that Coatesville pride.

North does it again!

I am proud to announce that the students of North Brandywine have once again met the standards set forth by the state in math and reading. This is the second year in a row that North has made AYP.  This brings our school out of  improvement status and places us on the top of the list with schools meeting the state and federal requirements. One more reason that North is a model middle school in chester county! The teachers, parents, students, and the entire North Brandywine community should be very proud of this accomplishment. Even more important, the Coatesville Area School District has made AYP as a district for the fifth consecutive year. Coatesville is truly a great place to be!

Fixing Lake Brandywine

This summer a popular vacation spot has been closed. Lake Brandywine was a favorite destination among staff and families at North. One local tourist noted "I have had so many wonderful memories of this magnificent body of water. I am sad to see it drain." I am sure the large lakes of water in our parking lot will be missed by all.
